“Find Yourself”.
Maniac: Film Review.
I breathe with you. I look through your eyes. I feel the same as you do. I kill with you. Frank.
Frank. He’s absolutely crazy. And he has good reason. Puppeteer. Collector. He breathes life into the dolls, but seems like only flies can appreciate it. He loves each victim and hates at the same time, because all of them have something from his mother. But Anna. She’s different. He doesn’t feel hatred for her. Both of them like from another world. She sees him. But it’s just his delusion. Frank suffers in his own world, and Anna - in real.
Picture? – Lovely. Certainly not. But the movie is atmospheric with a lot of techniques, bright colors and just good art frames. You can feel yourself in the maniac’s shoes. It seems to you that you understand him. As soon as the question arises, the movie answers at once. But it’s impossible to understand Frank. He’s incomprehensible like every insane, he’s unique. He’s a mystery which we’ve never solve.
Eli moved to another level. Definitely there’s ‘Wilfred’s merit in this. Unique Mr. Wood plays now unique characters. We live next to them but do not see. People don’t want to see and know those whom they’re not able to understand and accept, of whom they’re afraid. Nora like always is lovely and charming. There’s nothing new.
Watch if you’re not afraid to be frightened and catch yourself on sympathy for the ruthless maniac.
